I Decided to walk down town. Took 2 hours.
I found a river... but it was going nowhere.
Then found the trainstation, from where people were coming and going.
So, I went back in time.
And found an SUV.
But then the cat came back.
And took me to the fish market.
Gratuitous funky western house for sale.
Then I found the harbour.
And scanned the horizion.
To where the big boats are.
Too far.
By this time, I'd walked down to the tourist area.
Lovingly restored.
Full of warehouses, converted to tourist traps.
Where I found Peter Pan.
And his cat, fifi.
And the amazing abstract art boat.
And the electical company's party boat.
Er, fleet. Is that a nuclear reactor, or are you just happy to see me?
Other view.
Another view for those savouring the smell of the sea.
Dream on.
Until I came to... BOATS!
Boats with prosthetic limbs!
Red and Green boats!
With walrus anchors!
And huge piles of rope!
Woha! drums of leaking fluid, and hydrolic thingies.
And silicon implants!
But all is still and peaceful.
For these three nakayoshi (buddies)
Need I say more?
Proof!
That I'm not the only member of the boatrust photography society.
End of dock. That is not a boat.
We're in SoCal Hakodate!
With all the shoppers. I have green bags too.
And dinner... Hoke, I'm told. Note the carved out puck for a rice bowl.
And back to shopping...
And then it snowed.
So I took a cab home.
