Yuka and I were in Sighisoara from May 14-22, 2003, and I'll link up more pictures and text from the trip, and the Third World Congress on Dracula, from my main page, as soon as possible. Yuka will have Japanese language versions on her site soon as well.
Sighisoara train station. Yuka has much to say of the lavatory facilities, and is writing the mayor on the issue. Note the armed soldier under the sign.

A view of the citadel from a hill across the valley. The clock tower is the entrance to the walled city.

Another picture from the same hill showing the Church.

A view from the clock tower, pointing in the direction of the hill from which the previous two pictures were taken.

The old tower wall. Note the small garden to the left. That is the 'secret garden'.

Walking around town. There are only three streets in town. Maybe four, with lots of alleys.
|
This is the house in which Vlad Dracula was born. It is now a restaurant, and you can eat through out the house. And yes, they have Vampire wine, merlot, shiraz, and a cabernet.
|
The house next to Vlad's, notable for it's Vinetian windows.
|
The back tower entrace to the citadel. Note the weather vanes at the top. They'll appear in other pictures.
|
Rain out the hotel lobby doors.

No, this is really a back alley.

More of the same.

A tower. Owned by the German church I think.
